There are many characters in the story who come back from their death, either to help the Z Fighters and save the world, or just to create chaos and chaos. That's what then makes Frieza a terrible and cruel figure as we know it. Frieza briefly served as the leader of Universe 7, after King Cold decided to retire. With Frieza as the leader, he becomes even more cruel than his father. Frieza's leadership is absolutely terrible.
But, of course, nothing lasts forever for both Frieza and King Cold. After Frieza's defeat from Super Saiyan Goku, King Cold's men then collect all the remains of Frieza's body where they decide to resurrect Frieza in Cyborg form. Together with their father, the two then try to take revenge on the Z Fighters.

They all vowed to return to earth and destroy everything. However, after they arrived on earth, Future Trunks appeared and managed to kill Frieza easily. The arrogance of the figure of King Cold became the root cause of his downfall. Convinced that Trunks' sword was the source of his power, King Cold pretended to see the sword.
Using Future Trunks' sword, King Cold tried to kill him but failed. And Trunks himself was then able to kill King Cold with ease. Then, why was King Cold not resurrected? The simple answer is that Frieza doesn't want it. In the movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' we see that Frieza managed to come back to life after Sorbet resurrected him using the Dragon Ball.
Sorbet then asks Frieza if she wants to resurrect her father. However, Frieza refused. According to him, it would be better if his father didn't come back alive, so that Frieza could have more freedom in power. The feeling of not caring for the child, becomes an obstacle for King Cold to be able to return to life. If only King Cold could be a little nicer to Frieza, maybe he'd be interested in saving her.

For fans of the Dragon Ball Heroes series, the story of King Cold is actually not really over. King Cold was transported to Prison Planet, where he and his army actually benefited. King Cold then managed to get a four-star Dragon Ball. After being attacked by Hatchiyack, King Cold makes a deal with Cooler and Trunks, in which he promises to give his dragon balls to Cooler if he helps.
After defeating the ghost Warriors, King Cold then tried to betray Cooler. However, Hatchiyak then appears and kills King Cold. Since then he has never been resurrected.
