It looks like Goku is hard to get a win at these days in the Dragon Ball Super series. With the Moro arc coming to an end, it seems that until the end of the story Goku will have difficulty defeating his enemy. However, this is nothing new in Dragon Ball stories and for Goku.
Goku is indeed a fighter and a formidable Saiyan, but not all the fights he has ever fought he can win. There was always a reason why Goku could lose at that point. And these defeats are often used as a way for Goku to improve his abilities. Here are the characters who have defeated Goku in the Dragon Ball series.

1. Jackie Chun
Goku's first defeat occurred when Goku fought the legendary Jackie Chun, who was none other than the secret identity of the turtle genie grandfather aka Master Roshi. After realizing how fast Goku and Krillin's strength has grown, Master Roshi finally decides to participate in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai martial arts tournament.
Master Roshi's goal in participating in the martial arts tournament was that he wanted to teach his students a lesson about shame, and also feel what it's like to lose. When defeating Goku in the final round, Master Roshi teaches Goku a valuable value about what if he faces an enemy stronger than him. One thing Goku realizes is that there will always be people or characters stronger than him. Another value that is trying to be taught is how Goku should love martial arts, not just win.
2. Tao Pai
After previously having lost to Jackie Chun, there was Tao Pai Pai who almost killed the young Saiyan in half the story of the Dragon Ball series. Tao Pai Pai is the first super villain in the Dragon Ball series and he also teaches Goku something important, that humans (or people) will die.
Tao Pai Pai once killed Bora, a character in the first Dragon Ball series shown dead, even before Goku's eyes. After Tao Pai Pai's victory, the tone of Dragon Ball changed. Since then we are shown that Goku will always be in danger. There will always be a stronger character ready to finish off Goku, anytime and anywhere.
3. Tenshinhan
Goku has to face Tenshinhan in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai martial arts tournament. However, this time Goku has learned a lot from Master Roshi to keep improving himself and not just aiming for victory. Unlike Tenshinhan, who is still filled with the desire to rule the world.
While fighting Goku, Tenshinhan then realized about real martial arts and how martial arts is not just about winning. As Goku lost technically in the fight, Tenshinhan later dismissed his victory against Goku as a legitimate victory. Tenshinhan had given his victory to Goku, but was rejected by Goku. Finally Goku forgives Tenshinhan after he accidentally loses another fight.
4. Goku vs Raditz
You could say Raditz was able to be defeated thanks to the cooperation between Goku and Piccolo. However, Piccolo's main goal at first was to kill Raditz only after he killed Goku. If Raditz and Goku were defeated at once, it would be a victory for Piccolo, but not for Goku.
Goku may lose his fight against Raditz, but he finally manages to defeat Radit with Piccolo's "help". The moment when Goku grabbed Raditz's tail, that's when Goku realized that he had lost and needed help. Goku realized he had to sacrifice himself so that Piccolo could finish off his brother.

5. Goku vs Vegeta
There is an interesting thing about the rivalry between Vegeta and Goku, namely that Goku never really wins against Vegeta. Vegeta may be in second place in their rivalry, but he has a higher win rate than Goku. As mentioned, that loss for the two of them was never really a “lose”.
They reflect on each other and continue to grow. Defeated by Vegeta, Goku then "awakens" his Saiyan blood which he has never felt before. Goku has always loved martial arts, but being pressured to the point of constantly leading Goku on a new path. How Goku continues to develop throughout the Dragon Ball series is an interesting thing.
6. Captain Ginyu
The Planet Namek arc becomes an interesting story for Goku. Even though he doesn't do a lot of fighting, all the fights he does are very well choreographed and interesting. Various dramas that are no less interesting involving the characters in the story also make this arc one of the best arcs in the Dragon Ball series.
Goku had to suffer one defeat when he was on the planet Namek, precisely when he had to face Captain Ginyu. Actually, Captain Ginyu is not that strong compared to Goku but Goku is caught off guard and Captain Ginyu takes the opportunity to defeat Goku. However, once again the magic sided with Goku where he managed to survive the fight.
7. Android 19
After Goku's victory over Freeza on the planet Namek, Akira Toriyama then "told" us that Goku will not be able to return to using his Super Saiyan energy in a fight. This happened when Goku fought Android no. 19. The Android faced by Goku was deliberately created by Dr. Gero for the sake of researching Goku's strength and fighting style.
However, what Gero doesn't detect is that Goku has Super Saiyan powers. It was then put into practice to one of Dr. android. Gero. However, Goku had to lose that energy after Android No. 19 managed to suck all of Goku's power. Even Android No. These 19 managed to suck the energy of Kamehameha Goku. The result is that Goku has a heart attack, which Future Trunks had predicted.
8. Cell
It's hard to imagine a Goku giving up and admitting defeat. This happens when Goku fights Cell in the Cell arc. Goku wasn't even able to win the fight against Cell Junior. Even so in this fight Goku realized that if he would lose, there was a positive value that he tried to show to the fans.
In the middle of the match, after Goku showed his best ability against Cell, Goku decided to quit the fight. He then said that his son, Gohan, would take his place. Many fans suspect that Goku realized that Gohan was the one who could then defeat Cell. This is where we see how mature and also the figure of a great father from Goku is. After all, Gohan was already planned to be the main character in the arc replacing his father figure.
