The manga series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations continues the second chapter of the battle between the village of Konoha and the Kara organization, after the death of "the god" and their leader, Isshiki Otsutsuki. Isshiki was previously shown dead at the hands of Kawaki, thanks to the cooperation between Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto. However, even though Isshiki was dead in fact he still posed a big threat.
Isshiki then unleashes another threat, namely Code. He is one vessel that is considered a failure, even though in reality he is a terrible figure. Isshiki gave a mission to defeat the four shinobi. To smoothen his plans, Code enlists the help of another cyborg, Eida. Eida herself then agrees to help Code complete his mission.
On the other hand, the Konoha shinobi also knew that the enemy was gathering strength. And they also need help from other ninja villages, considering that besides Code is a big threat, Naruto and Sasuke also have to lose their greatest abilities. Kawaki himself tries to find a way to defeat Code, and gain the power to protect Naruto.

And apparently, Kawaki managed to find it. In yesterday's chapter 59, Kara scientist Amado talked a lot to Kawaki about his efforts to save Boruto (and Naruto). According to Amado, all the steps and schemes he planned to infuse Boruto's Karma in Code's body were futile. The plan had many weaknesses.
The first weakness, Code is an imperfect container of Isshiki. Unlike Kawaki's figure, which is the perfect vessel which is why Isshiki chose Kawaki to be his vessel. So, it makes sense if then Code is not the right place for Boruto or another place for Karma Boruto.
The second weakness is that Code has never fully experienced the Autotsutsukification process due to his Karma process, because he is not a perfect vessel. And he cannot be a vessel until the process is complete. Amado himself saw the great determination of Kawaki's figure to be able to defeat Code, while also helping protect Naruto. Therefore, Amado offers a solution.

Amado told Kawaki to want to use the power of Karma within him again. According to Amado's explanation, he could help Kawaki, "by turning the Karma within you into a lethal weapon." Amado realized that Kawaki wanted great power, and he made the offer – which Kawaki immediately refused.
Kawaki himself no longer wants to use Karma as a source of his strength. He already hated Karma. Why then can the Karma within Kawaki be reactivated? Amado gave an analogy to Sumire about this, in which he likened Kawaki to a house. Karma is the door of the house, while Kawaki's soul is the owner of the house.
With access now gone, the power within is still there. In short, Amado was able to reconstruct the Karma that was in Kawaki's body and then turn it into a deadly weapon. This then made Sumire suspicious of what Amado's real purpose was in doing this.

This seems to give a hint of an important development: if Amado can then turn Karma into a terrible weapon and release the threat of Otsutsuki from within it, maybe this is the reason why Boruto and Kawaki will fight in the future.
